At 6 to 12 month intervals members are asked to submit details (title and author) of ONE book to be included on our reading list. The only condition is that the book must be available in paperback....cost considerations. A list is drawn up trying to get a mix of genres and an advance list gives members the opportunity to get books from different sources....library, book shop, charity shop, on-line etc. At the meetings, we discuss the current book on the list. This often leads to talk on different issues thrown up by the book's subject matter. It's OK not to like each book, and if you couldn't get past the first chapters just say if you thought it was a load of rubbish!!
